What Amazon charges
- Referral fee: 15% for most categories, 8% to 20% for others, with a $0.30 minimum. Some categories change rate by price band.
- Selling plan: Individual is $0.99 per item sold; Professional is $39.99 a month. Professional pays off above about 40 sales a month.
- FBA fulfillment fee: Set by size tier, shipping weight and price band. This uses the 2026 non-peak rate card, with the 3.5% surcharge that began on April 17, 2026. Peak season (mid-October to mid-January) costs more.
- Media closing fee: Books, DVDs, music and other media add $1.80 per item.
