What Shopify charges
- Monthly plan: Basic $39, Grow $105, Advanced $399 ($29, $79 and $299 billed yearly).
- Card processing: Shopify Payments online rates: Basic 2.9% + 30¢, Grow 2.7% + 30¢, Advanced 2.5% + 30¢, on the full charge including tax and shipping.
- Third-party payment providers: Using another gateway instead of Shopify Payments adds 2%, 1% or 0.6% depending on the plan. This calculator assumes Shopify Payments.
- Sales tax: On Shopify you collect and remit sales tax yourself, so it is left out of profit.

Basic suits small volumes. Grow pays off once the 0.2-point card rate saving outweighs the higher monthly fee.
